Description Het plaster filler for indoor and outdoor plasters, 400 g

Acrylic filler for indoor and outdoor plaster for indoor and outdoor use for minor repairs of grainy surfaces, especially plastered coatings. For repairing unevenness, filling small non-dilating cracks on façades, repairing plaster corners, retouching repaired grainy surfaces, etc. Ready for immediate use.

Properties of Het plaster filler for indoor and outdoor plasters:

  • Repairs of plaster coatings,
  • repairs of corners,
  • creation of a grainy surface,
  • for indoor and outdoor use,
  • ready for immediate use.

Use:
Single-component, paintable special filler based on acrylic, creating a surface with a grainy structure resembling plaster. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use for minor repairs of grainy surfaces, especially plastered coatings. For repairing unevenness, filling small non-dilating cracks on façades, repairing plaster corners, retouching repaired grainy surfaces, etc. The filler is ready for immediate use. The product meets the requirements for surfaces that may come into indirect contact with food. Not recommended for grouting and in areas with high mechanical stress. Filled areas must not be in constant contact with water and rising moisture.

Thinner:
drinking water

Application:
With a spatula, spatula or stainless steel trowel. Surface finishing with a washing sponge, felt or foam rubber.

Sanding:
Sanding is not very suitable due to coarse fillers; if necessary, can be sanded with sandpaper or sanding mesh.

Substrate:
dry, matured (pH ≤8.5; control can be done with a pH tester), cohesive, unsalted, solid, degreased, free from dust, dirt, and non-cohesive layers, without dynamic cracks and joints, without biological infestation (mold, algae). Layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed by scraping. For plasters, remove loose sand grains (by re-sanding and/or sweeping). To improve the adhesion of the filler to the substrate, it is advisable to perform a coating with a penetrative preparation A-GRUND, AT-GRUND, 100-GRUND or UP-GRUND. Metal elements interfering with the treated surface must be primed with anti-corrosion paint (e.g. anti-corrosion paint AQUADECOL PRIMER) before filling.

Application temperature:
the temperature of the material, environment, and substrate must be between +5 and +30 °C (better +8 to +25 °C) during application and up to 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) after application. Do not apply if frost or rain is imminent.

Example of application procedure:

  1. cover windows, radiators, door frames, etc.
  2. before applying the filler, it is necessary to remove any dried material from the packaging and thoroughly mix the filler in its entirety.
  3. layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed by scraping.
  4. apply a penetrative preparation. For less absorbent substrates, the priming coat is done with penetrative preparation UP-GRUND, for more absorbent substrates (plaster, lime or lime-cement plaster, masonry, etc.) with preparations A-GRUND, 100-GRUND or AT-GRUND according to the instructions for use.
  5. after the primer is completely dry, the PLASTER FILLER is applied with a steel spatula. The recommended thickness of one layer is up to 3 mm, the maximum permitted thickness of one layer is 5 mm. To better insert the filler into cracks, it is advisable to slightly scrape the cracks first.
  6. to achieve the least visible transitions between plaster and filler, it is advisable to "smooth" the surface after slight skinning of the filler with a damp washing sponge, felt or a piece of foam rubber.
  7. let the filler dry until completely dry (approx. 0.5 to 12 hours or longer, drying time strongly depends on layer thickness, substrate absorbency, temperature, and humidity).
  8. if necessary, after complete drying, the filler can be applied in additional layers.
  9. working tools and soiled areas should be washed immediately with water.
  10. before painting with colors, it is recommended to prime the repaired plasters with, for example, the preparation UP-GRUND, A-GRUND, AT-GRUND or 100-GRUND. This will unify the absorbency of the substrate with the filled area.
  11. then it is possible to apply dispersion paints on the surfaces. It is not advisable to use lime paints or paints without the content of dispersion binder on the filled areas.
