Epolex professional laminating system, 400 g

Used for repairing composite items (boats, sports equipment, fairings, automotive parts, etc.). Composition and characteristics of the product: A solution of unsaturated polyester resins in styrene.

Surface preparation:
Thoroughly clean, sand and degrease the surface.

Preparation of laminating polyester:
Add 2% of initiator (i.e., polyester 100 parts by weight: initiator 2 parts by weight) to the required amount of polyester while stirring continuously. Always prepare only as much mixture as you can process within 15 minutes at 20°C. Do not laminate at temperatures below 15°C.

Lamination:
Apply the already cured mixture to the repair area and place a saturated piece of fiberglass mat on it. Press it down completely with a brush and saturate again. Depending on the extent of the damage and the load on the repaired area, apply an additional 2-3 layers of saturated fabric. After curing (5-24 hours), sand the surface with abrasive paper No. 80. To perfectly fill in any remaining larger or smaller irregularities and depressions around the repaired area, it is recommended to use universal polyester filler. All working tools should be promptly cleaned with solvent C 6000 or S 6005.
