Polykar UBS Underbody Coating, Gray, 1 l

Polykar UBS represents underbody coating – for the protection of undercarriages and sills of cars. This re-paintable agent designed for protecting the sills and underbodies of vehicles is made based on synthetic resins. It creates a strong elastic layer that protects against corrosion, abrasion from de-icing materials, and the effects of water, gasoline, oils, or salt. It has both protective and damping effects.

The product must not be applied to areas that come into direct contact with food and drinking water. VOC CONTENT = 560 g/l. This product meets the requirements of the European Union directive (2004/42/EC), which sets a limit on the volatile content for products in this category (B/e) at 840 g/l of final product.

Application:
The surface must be sanded, clean, and dry before applying the product, free from grease and rust. Areas that are not to be treated with the product must be covered. Before use, the material in the container must be properly shaken! It is applied using a spray gun. We recommend using a 4 mm nozzle and a pressure of 3-5 bar. Apply 2 to 3 layers, waiting 5 minutes between each layer.

Drying:
At a temperature of 20 °C and a layer thickness of 700 μm, drying takes 2-3 hours.

Yield:
3.5 m² per 100 μm layer.

Top coating:
The surface can be repainted with standard coating systems after 2-3 hours from the application of the final coat.

Cleaning of tools:
For immediate cleaning of tools, we recommend using thinner C6000.

Storage:
During transportation and storage, it is necessary to maintain a temperature between +5 and +25 °C and protect the product from direct sunlight and heat. Store in a cool and dry place. The shelf life while maintaining quality and usability is 24 months.
