Collection Best. Still the most popular Czech tomato. Gardeners appreciate its stable yield and full, tomato flavor. Semi-early fleshy hybrid with universal use, providing stable yields. Fruits are round to slightly round, smooth, firm. Unripe fruits without streaks, ripe dark red. Requires a balanced watering regime to avoid fruit cracking.
Tornado F1 is not new, it has already celebrated its maturity. It has been with us for over 20 years and still remains one of the most cultivated in gardens. The Tornado F1 tomato was the first and it was good. Tornado is still good today. Together with its sister hybrid Domino F1, it provided gardeners 20 years ago with a new dimension among tomatoes – a universal fleshy tomato with stable yields. Gardeners forgive Tornado for a small flaw – softer fruits that are more prone to cracking with an unbalanced watering regime. Softer fruit goes hand in hand with full, typically tomato flavor and aroma. Compared to the “plastic” tomatoes from supermarkets, those without taste and smell, Tornado fruits stand out greatly. Two years ago, Tornado F1 was inducted into the Semo Hall of Fame, into the collection Our Best. And it deserves to be there.
Do not use seed for consumption. Store in a dry and dark place, out of reach of children.
