Bilak A 0002 matte water-based wood varnish, transparent, 0.7 kg

BILAK A is a modern water-dilutable transparent varnish with a wide range of user applications. It is used for both glazing coatings and for creating continuous protective coatings... both colorless and tinted to the chosen shade. It is commonly applied on wooden, chipboard, and fiberboard panels and cladding, solid wooden objects and structures, or cork floors,... all in both outdoor and indoor environments. The universal properties of the varnish allow for its use even for purposes such as strengthening and dust-free treatment of concrete floors.

Primarily for professional applications, the varnish is also manufactured in a modification called "thick-layer glaze," which minimizes the number of layers required to achieve sufficient thickness of the protective film, also in terms of protection against substrate destruction due to UV radiation. At the same time, other properties such as vapor permeability and adhesion are optimized,... making the varnish advantageous for finishing regular wooden furniture, including garden furniture. BILAK A is not suitable for environments with permanent condensation of water vapor or for creating protective coatings under water. For special applications, consult the manufacturer.

Coverage:
6 -8 m² /kg in one layer depending on the complexity and porosity of the substrate. Glazing coatings of 10 - 18 m2/kg of varnish.

Dilution:
The varnish is optimally diluted for standard applications right from the manufacturer. It can be diluted with water to an optimal workability based on user requirements.

Application:
BILAK A is applied with a brush, roller, or spray. Absorbent substrates, including wood, should first be treated biocidally and well saturated with a suitable penetrating preparation... for example, BILEP F. (Suitable fungicidal preparations include... PREGNOLIT D - remedial, BOCHEMIT QB, PREGNOLIT UNI, LIGNOFIX Eko, ... ) It is possible, but less suitable, to impregnate with varnish diluted in a ratio of 1:2 with water (varnish : water). The surface of coniferous wood with a high resin content (especially pine) should first be cleaned of these resins, preferably with a mixture of available solvents (non-polar x polar)... for example: technical xylene (S6005) + ethyl alcohol (denatured spirit) in a ratio of approximately 1:1. To create glazing coatings on wood, the varnish should be diluted with water in a ratio of approximately 1:1. When applying, ensure that the cured film on the surface of the wood is not visually noticeable. Wipe off excess varnish with a cloth. Glazing coatings for outdoor environments are better designed in darker shades (to protect the wooden substrate from UV radiation). Continuous protective films are created by coating or spraying undiluted varnish in at least two layers. Especially for colorless coatings in outdoor environments, it is necessary to achieve a minimum thickness of the cured film of 120 µm, which can be achieved with approximately three layers of undiluted varnish (with a consumption of around 0.5 kg/m2).

In the case of using the varnish modification "thick-layer glaze," this thickness can be achieved in just two operations. To strengthen silicate substrates, it is essential to first use a special deep-penetrating preparation BILEP F (diluted approximately with 50% water) several times until it absorbs, and then the prepared substrate can be treated with two layers of undiluted varnish in the chosen shade. The varnish should be applied to a dry, contamination-free substrate. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below +8 °C. Maintain technological breaks between layers - optimal is around 8 hours under normal conditions. Before use, mix the varnish well, and stir the semi-matt and matte while working. Composition:
A mixture of inorganic and special organic pigments in a polyacrylate dispersion in a balanced composition with special additives including UV stabilizers. According to Act No. 86/2002 Coll. in its valid wording, regulation MŽP No. 355/2002 Coll. in its valid wording, §13, paragraph 1) the varnish is not considered a preparation containing organic volatile substances (VOC).
