Thin-layer wood stain Lazurol Topdecor S1035 is intended for protective staining of soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions and for use indoors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). Wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the structure of the wood and emphasizes its grain. It provides long-lasting protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easy to renew, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be completely freed from resin exudates, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnant that protects the wood against fungi, molds, and insects, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING PRIMER S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best first impregnated with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorption of the substrate by the wood before the application of the coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnating stain. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adhering layer, e.g. by sanding.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is essential to stir the staining varnish regularly. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is meant for interior coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform highlighting of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For uniform areas, always choose material from the same production batch, which ensures matching color shades. The type of wood, its surface, and previous coatings affect the final shade, so a test coat is recommended before final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted if a sample area is claimed.

To achieve high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be topped with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain conditions.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
