
The paint is specially designed to protect steel and cast iron surfaces exposed to cyclic thermal stress. It is used for protective coatings of fireplaces, flues, steam pipelines, engines, heat exchangers, solar collectors...
The paint is intended for the final finish of surfaces of steel and cast iron objects and structures exposed to one-time or cyclic thermal stress. The paint is formulated based on premium silicone resin utilizing modern inorganic spinel pigments, which do not degrade even at temperatures around 700 °C.
The paint can be used to treat metallic parts of fireplaces, stoves, flues, steam pipelines, engines, heat exchangers, solar collectors. The paint is intended for coatings or spraying on structures which are subjected to temperatures of up to 700 °C short-term, and long-term up to 550 °C.
Procedure:
1.) The paint is applied with a brush, roller, spraying, or dipping. It is preferable to brush the first layer. Between individual layers, maintain a time interval of at least 4 hours under normal conditions.
2.) It is optimal to let each layer dry and cure at a temperature of 230 °C for 30 minutes.
3.) The coating system does not need to be cured, but it is softer and does not resist the action of organic solvents. When subsequently curing the whole NS, ensure a gradual increase in temperature!!! The most suitable preparation of both steel and cast iron substrate is sandblasting.
Substrate:
Removal of rust and old degraded coatings and degreasing! Optimal degreasing of the substrate... for example, 2 × coating with a special agent IZOKOR. This is followed by the actual coating system usually 2 × CORSIL + at least 2 × BISIL Thermo. For substrate preparation and application of NS, we recommend adhering to the principles of technical standards ČSN EN ISO 12944 1-8 and the accompanying regulations ČSN ISO 8501 1-2, 8502 2-6, ...).
