PATTEX Wood Standard is a high-quality dispersive adhesive designed for precise, strong, and durable bonding of wood and other porous materials indoors. It excels especially when working with both hard and soft woods, chipboard, veneer, or foam board, making it ideal for mortise and tenon joints, dowels, and grooves. However, in addition to wood, it also easily handles bonding paper, textiles, leather, cardboard, or even polystyrene, which makes it a versatile assistant in the home, workshop, and school workshop.
Once cured, the bond remains transparent and flexible, preserving aesthetic cleanliness even in visible areas. Due to the absence of solvents, the adhesive is odorless and does not affect the color of woods, including those containing tannins (e.g., oak), which is a common problem with lower quality adhesives. The bond, once cured, is exceptionally strong, does not deform, and is resistant to aging.
The adhesive is intended exclusively for indoor use and is recommended to be applied at temperatures between 5–20 °C. It is ready for immediate use without the need for further thinning or preparation.
Main advantages of the product:
Application:
Apply the adhesive unilaterally in a thin layer with a brush, plastic spatula, glue roller, or mechanical adhesive application device.
When bonding hardwood, apply on both sides.
Press both parts together and clamp or weigh down with a heavy object. The pressing time depends on the working conditions.
Cleaning recommendations:
Remove adhesive residues immediately with a damp cloth. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. After use, carefully close the adhesive container to prevent it from drying out.
