Soudal T-Rex Crystal Mounting Adhesive, Transparent, 290 ml

Soudal T-Rex Crystal represents a unique 100% clear adhesive and sealant in one. Thanks to Soudal's SMX technology, it is the most versatile product with the widest application on the market. Its parameters outperform most sealants and adhesives. Like silicone, it is also UV resistant and equally flexible, following the example of acrylic sealant, it is paintable with most coatings, and similar to polyurethane sealant, it has strong adhesive properties. It can be used indoors and outdoors and demonstrates excellent adhesion to most building materials. It does not contain solvents, acids, or isocyanates. Its properties remain effective even in areas with higher humidity, making it suitable for sanitary purposes. It cures very quickly and ensures a highly strong, permanently flexible, and invisible joint.

Characteristics of the Mounting Adhesive:

• great resistance to most chemicals – water, aliphatic solvents, mineral oils, fats, and diluted inorganic acids and bases
• resists mold formation and is intended for sanitary environments
• does not leave stains on porous surfaces, such as natural stone, granite, etc. (test the sealant on a small area in the case of marble)
• ensures a crystal clear and invisible bond

Chemical Resistance:
Good: water, aliphatic solvents, mineral oils, lubricants (vaseline), diluted inorganic acids and bases. Poor: aromatic solvents, concentrated acids, chlorinated hydrocarbons. Substrates: all common surfaces. Surface condition: clean, cohesive, free of grease and dust. Preparation: for porous and wet substrates, it is recommended to apply Primer 150 as a penetration. Adhesion to non-porous materials can be enhanced with Soudal Surface Activator. In any case, we recommend performing a preliminary adhesion test.

Working Procedure:
Application: by hand or pneumatic applicator, smooth the surface with Joint Smoother and Surface Smoother for sealants. Working temperature: +1 °C to +30 °C. Cleaning: uncured can be cleaned with acetone or paint thinner - White Spirit after curing mechanically and with Soudal Silicone Remover. Repairs: T-REX CRYSTAL.

Paintability:
Various types of coatings can be applied to the product. Since the composition of paints may vary among manufacturers, we recommend checking the compatibility of the sealant with the coating in advance. Drying time of alkyd paints may be prolonged.

Recommendations:
The product is intended for application on most common building materials. Their composition (plastics, polycarbonates, plasters, metals, etc.) may vary by manufacturer. Therefore, we always recommend testing adhesion to the specific surface before starting work. The product is not recommended for glazing insulated double glazing.
