Soudal wood filler is suitable for leveling wooden, particleboard, cement-bonded particleboard, and other absorbent substrates, local repairs and filling holes, cracks, and unevenness, aligning joint seams in strip and panel connections, leveling areas before painting with enamel. The wood filler adheres very well to wood and other absorbent materials, after curing it is dimensionally stable and easy to sand. For exterior applications, it must be coated. Well-processable pasty consistency. Dilutable and cleanable with water. Leveling wooden surfaces, local repairs and filling scratches, holes, and cracks, joints of wooden strips and panels, surface leveling of wooden areas before painting.

Characteristics of Soudal Wood Filler:

  • Very good adhesion to wood and other designated materials,
  • easy to use,
  • easy to sand after curing,
  • quick drying,
  • very fine consistency,
  • dilutable and cleanable with water,
  • for exterior applications, it must be coated,
  • does not sink after drying,
  • quality wood filler.

Examples of use for Soudal Wood Filler:

  • Leveling wooden, particleboard, cement-bonded particleboard, etc. substrates,
  • local repairs and filling (filling) holes, cracks, fissures, etc. defects,
  • filling and leveling of joint seam at both direct and angular connections in strips and panels,
  • leveling surfaces before painting.

Color options:

White, birch, teak, pine, oak, cherry, mahogany, spruce, beech.

Coverage:

Full-area application in one layer 0.2 - 0.4 m²/100g.

Hardening speed:

Depending on the layer thickness min. 2 hours. Thickness 0.4 mm approx. 6 hours, thickness 0.7 mm duration 7 hours, thickness 1.5 mm duration 9 hours, thickness 2 mm duration 10 hours (at a temperature of 20 °C, 65% relative humidity).

Surfaces:

Suitable surfaces: all common wooden surfaces and composite and layered boards based on wood. Surface condition: clean, free of grease and dust. Preparation: non-adherent surfaces must be consolidated, for example, with an acrylic primer, remove non-adhering particles, no further preparation is required.

Application procedure:

Application: A metal spatula or a large smooth trowel is most commonly used for application. Fill holes and cracks to avoid air bubbles. Level the area with a trowel and sand it flat after hardening. Local repairs are filled slightly over the level of the surrounding surface and sanded level after curing. Repaired areas are usually painted with a covering enamel or glazing varnish.
