Soudal universal silicone, beige, 280 ml

Acetate universal silicone sealant universally usable for construction and structural joints in interior and exterior, sanitary applications, etc. It can be used on most substrates except plastics. Permanently flexible, colorfast sealant with long-lasting durability and UV resistance.

Substrates:

Suitable surfaces: all common surfaces except PVC, PE, PP, PTFE, and bituminous substrates. Surface condition: clean, dry, free from dust and grease. Preparation: porous materials should be primed with Primer 150, non-porous materials do not need treatment. We always recommend performing a preliminary compatibility test.

Joint size:

Minimum width: 5 mm. Maximum width: 30 mm. Minimum depth: 5 mm. Recommendation: depth of the joint = ½ width of the joint. To define the depth of the joint and prevent the sealant from adhering to its bottom, always use a non-adhesive material, e.g. PE sealing cord.

Working procedure:

Application: with a cartridge gun (manual or pneumatic). Working temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C. Cleaning: before curing with White Spirit (paint thinner) or acetone, after curing mechanically and with Soudal silicone remover. Adjustments: before skin formation with a smoothing tool and Soudal finish smoother for sealants or soapy water. Repairs: Universal silicone.

Notes:

Due to its acetic character, it may react with some metals (copper, lead). Do not use this sealant for sealing natural stones such as marble, etc. For these applications, use Silirub MA. Avoid contact of this sealant and primary glazing sealant of insulating double glazing or PVB film of safety glass.
