Oil-based impregnating agent on a traditional natural basis, intended primarily for the basic impregnation of wood, excellent penetration properties.
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE OF THE PRODUCT:
It is mainly used for the basic impregnation of wood, plaster, and other absorbent substrates, under subsequent coats of oil, synthetic, or dispersion coating materials. It ensures perfect adhesion of top coats, thereby protecting the substrate from the adverse effects of weather influences.
Key properties:
• excellent wood penetration
• suitable for other absorbent substrates (masonry, paper)
• traditional natural coating
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed of all resin exudations beforehand, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pretreatment depends on the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system. Mineral substrates must be mature for at least 28 days before application, must be dry and dust-free, not contaminated with grease or oil products, and must be isolated from ground moisture.
DILUENT: BALTECH S6006
Theoretical yield: ca 7 m²/ l for one layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Before use, stir the contents thoroughly and dilute as needed. It is applied with a brush, roller, or by dipping on the previously prepared substrate.
Colored wood coating:
- 1× coat with UNIBAL IMPREGNATING OIL O1000. After approx. 20 minutes, it is necessary to wipe off the excess oil so that there is no shiny coating left on the surface
- after 48 hours of drying, sand the surface with sandpaper
- 1 to 2× coats with UNDERCOAT PAINT UNIBAL COATING O2025
- 1 to 2× coats with TOP EMAIL INDUSTROL UNIVERSAL S2013 or LAZUROL OKNOBAL EMAIL U2015
