UNIBAL O2025 linseed oil paint for wood and metal self-priming, 1000 white, 1 kg

Linseed oil paint is designed as a primer and base coat for wood and metal for both indoor and outdoor environments. As a top coat for wood and metal, UNIBAL O2025 paint is intended for interior use only.

CHARACTERIZATION AND USE:

This is a traditional natural coating for wood and metal, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. As a top coat for wood and metal, it is recommended to use UNIBAL O2025 paint primarily indoors, as weather exposure can lead to loss of gloss and yellowing of the coating.

It has very good spreadability and high elasticity.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 nitro thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall durability of the coating system.

Metal substrates must be clean, dry, free of grease, rust, and dust, mechanically cleaned. Absorbent substrates must be further impregnated with an appropriate impregnating agent and possibly coated with a suitable primer. Metal substrates must be treated with an appropriate anti-corrosive primer.

DILUTION: BALTECH S6006

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/ kg per one coat (40 – 60 µm)

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Before use, thoroughly mix the contents and dilute as needed. Apply with a brush or roller to the prepared substrate.

Wood coating:

1. 1× application of UNIBAL FERMEŽ NAPOUŠTÉCÍ O1000 oil impregnating agent. After about 20 minutes, it is necessary to wipe off the excess linseed oil so that no glossy coating is left on the surface.
2. after 48 hours of drying, sand the surface with sandpaper
3. 1 to 2× application of UNIBAL BARVA FERMEŽOVÁ O2025 base paint (application interval 48 h/23 °C)
4. 1 to 2× application of top enamel INDUSTROL UNIVERZÁL S2013 or LAZUROL OKNOBAL EMAIL U2015 (application interval 24 h/23 °C)

Metal coating:

1. 1× application of primer PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000 or FORMEX PRIMER FOR GALVANIZED SURFACES S2003
2. after 24 hours of drying, fill local areas with putty, e.g. BKP RAPID, sand the filled area with sandpaper
3. 2 to 3× application of UNIBAL BARVA FERMEŽOVÁ O2025 base paint (application interval 48 h/23 °C)
