Primer and top coat synthetic anti-corrosion paint for metal is used for the final finishing of metal surfaces and to reliably protect them from corrosion. It creates a strong barrier protection against constant exposure to weather conditions and sunlight. To achieve long-lasting protection (up to 8 years), 2 - 3 layers of Superkov are sufficient without the need for a primer application. SUPERKOV represents a primer and top coat anti-corrosion coating intended for metal, sheet roofing, steel structures, gutters, and similar applications.

Properties of metal paint:

• Alkyd paint with a higher solid content.
• Acts as a reliable anti-corrosion base coat while simultaneously serving as a top protective layer with significant barrier effect.
• The composition includes an effective corrosion inhibitor along with a UV absorber that prevents paint degradation due to weather conditions.
• SUPERKOV does not require any primer or additional top coating

Application:
Primer and top coats for sheet roofing, steel structures, gutters, fences, and all metal objects exposed to continuous weather conditions (including sunlight) without prior priming. We recommend painting freshly galvanized sheets after 1 year of exposure to weather conditions or after appropriate surface treatment with a suitable agent.

Yield:
At a standard dry film thickness of 40 – 50 µm (which corresponds to a wet thickness of 75 - 100 µm), the theoretical yield for one layer is 7 – 9 m² from 1 kg of paint. The actual yield depends on the condition of the substrate and the chosen application technique. The longest lifespan is achieved by following the correct procedure and maintaining a minimum dry coat thickness of 150 μm.

Substrate preparation and application method:
The surfaces to be painted must be dry, degreased, and free from dirt, rust, and old non-adhering coats. Before use, the contents of the can must be thoroughly mixed, and if necessary, slightly diluted to the required consistency. The paint is applied with a brush, roller, or spray in two to three layers at a temperature of +5 to +25 °C. Do not work in direct strong sunlight! The interval between individual coats is a minimum of 6 hours at 20 °C. The paint is touch-dry within 4 hours and cures within 24 hours. When painting continuous larger areas, it is recommended to use products from the same production batch, or mix the contents of individual containers to achieve color homogeneity. For surfaces that are heavily corroded or difficult to clean, we recommend pre-treating with Fest primer polyurethane anchoring preparation. This will enhance the quality and longevity of the entire coating system.
