REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-dilutable natural kaolin wall paint. It excellently covers, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors, for painting plasters, concrete, as paint for drywall, cetris boards, particle boards, and repair plasters. The paint shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in medium-loaded interiors, such as the walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or corridors, but also offices, schools, etc.
REMAL paints are all manufactured in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe and gentle to the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where one can use liquid tinting colors or have paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure paint adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Level out unevenness on the wall with REMAL putty. Dilute the paint in a ratio of max. 0.4 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C when applying the wall paint. Use product from one batch for contiguous areas; mix different batches before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-on+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.
covering materials, such as paper masking tape or covering film, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The average value of the film thickness loss is calculated from the weight loss. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the paint film for a prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
