Lime for whitewashing, slaked lime paint, Čerťák, 6 kg

Slaked white lime intended for construction, horticulture, and also for traditional disinfection of farm buildings and structures. It is ready for direct use and does not need to be slaked or soaked beforehand. Non-standardized white shade.

Use of Čerťák slaked lime for whitewashing:

• Production of mortars, plasters, and stuccos directly on site.
• Disinfection of all mineral substrates (plasters, stone, concrete, etc.).

Instructions for use:

Lime for whitewashing ČERŤÁK is a classic lime coating that we recommend for basements, warehouses, utility, and agricultural spaces. Substrate materials include plaster, masonry, concrete. Preparation of the substrate: The substrate must be dry, cohesive, clean, not salt-laden, free from greasy stains, mold, and dust. Apply the coating to new plasters only after they have fully matured.

Preparation of the coating: 

The paint is ready for immediate application. Settled water on the surface does not reduce the quality of the product; before use, the product must be thoroughly mixed, for example, with an electric mixer. The density of lime for whitewashing is set for direct application. If necessary, the lime can be diluted with water by a maximum of 5%.

Application of the coating:

Apply the coating with a brush, roller, or pad. When using a roller, do not go back over the same spot more than once, as this may strip the previous layer of coating. It is recommended to apply one to three coats (the second and third coats are applied only after the previous layer has dried). At a temperature of +20°C and relative humidity of 65%, the coating is recoatable after 2–4 hours. The minimum air and substrate temperature for application is +5 °C to 30 °C. Unpainted areas must be protected from staining by covering. In case of contamination, clean the area immediately with water. Mix thoroughly before application. During application, slight re-settling may occur, so it is advisable to occasionally mix the coating to a homogeneous consistency. We recommend applying the coating in thin layers.
