BARLET acrylate Plus base A is a modern acrylic facade paint designed for tinting at our stores, white base A is used as a white facade paint. With low consumption, it excellent covers, conceals micro-cracks, and is very suitable for the renovation of insulation systems. It is used for coatings on lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particleboard as well as renovation plasters in interiors and exteriors.

It is used for coatings on insulated facades, lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particleboard, and similar surfaces. The paint is resistant to selected disinfectants (can be used for coatings in repeatedly disinfected interiors in hospitals). Resistance to liquid action according to ČSN EN ISO 2812-1:2013, Method 1. It shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 class 2 (classification according to EN
13300). The paint is easy to process, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly.

Application method for facade paint:

Brush, roller, AIRLESS spraying e.g. STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 100 – 130 bar, nozzle size 517 or possibly 519, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we recommend always conducting tests on the specific device beforehand.

Example of applying acrylic facade paint

The substrate must be dry and mature. Too absorbent, crumbling, or non-cohesive substrates should be treated with an appropriate acrylic primer REMAL, BARLET or SOICRAT. Dilute the paint with a maximum of 5 - 10 % water and mix thoroughly. Apply the paint after the primer has dried in two layers with a brush or roller. The paint can also be applied by pressure spraying. Additional layers should be applied only after complete drying. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. For uniform areas, use products from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.

Handling of facade paint:

Follow basic hygiene rules during work. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, and drinking water. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help. The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 2-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220 -239-6] (3:1), 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one.

Shelf life of acrylic facade paint:

The product retains its functional properties for 5 years from the date of production, in original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of containers and waste of acrylic facade paint:

Dispose of containers with product residues at places designated by the municipality for collecting other waste. See section 13 of the Safety Data Sheet for the product.

Washability of paint is practically addressed by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. As for the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the test method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasive (cleaning) device. The weight loss is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. For determining cleanability, contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best - class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
