BARLET acrylic Plus base A is a modern acrylic facade paint designed for tinting at our stores, the white base A is used as a white facade paint. With low consumption, it excellent coverage, hides microcracks, and is very suitable for the renovation of insulation systems. It is used for painting lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particle boards, and renovation plasters in interiors and exteriors.

It is used for painting insulated facades, lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particle boards, and similar surfaces. The paint is resistant to selected disinfectants (can be used for painting repeatedly disinfected interiors in hospitals). Resistance to the action of liquids according to ČSN EN ISO 2812-1:2013, Method 1. It shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 class 2 (classification according to EN
13300). The paint is easy to process, health-friendly, and environmentally friendly.

Application method for facade paint:

Brush, roller, AIRLESS spraying, e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700, or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure 100 – 130 bar, nozzle size 517 or possibly 519, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we always recommend performing tests on specific equipment beforehand.

Example of application of acrylic facade paint

The substrate must be dry and mature. Too absorbent, crumbling, or non-cohesive substrates should be treated with a suitable acrylic primer REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Dilute the paint with a maximum of 5 - 10 % water and mix thoroughly. Apply the paint after the primer has dried in two layers with a brush or roller. Paint can also be applied using pressure spraying. Additional layers should be applied only after complete drying. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. For uniform surfaces, use a product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling of facade paint:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coating surfaces in direct contact with food, animal feed, and drinking water. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice. The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 2-octyl-3(2H)-isothiazolone, reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methyl-3(2H)-isothiazolone [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-3(2H)-isothiazolone [ES number 220 -239-6] (3:1), 2-methyl-3(2H)-isothiazolone.

Storage of acrylic facade paint:

The product retains its utility properties for 5 years from the production date, in the original unopened container. Store in a dry place at temperatures between 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of waste and containers from acrylic facade paint:

Containers with residues of the product should be disposed of at the place designated by the municipality for collecting other waste. See section 13 of the product's safety data sheet for more information.

The washability of the paint is practically addressed by the standard RESISTANCE TO WET ABRASION ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and for determining the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only defines the testing method but does not specify contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The weight loss is used to calculate the average thickness loss of the coating. For determining cleanability, the specified contaminants are applied to identically prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
