BARLET acrylic Plus base A is a modern acrylic facade paint designed for tinting in our stores, white base A is used as a white facade paint. With low consumption it excellently covers, hides micro-cracks and is very suitable for the renovation of insulation systems. It is used for coating lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particle boards, and repair plasters in interiors and exteriors.
It is used for coatings on insulated facades, lime-cement plasters, concretes, aerated concrete, particle boards, and similar surfaces. The paint is resistant to selected disinfectants (can be used for coatings in repeatedly disinfected interiors in hospitals). Resistance to liquid action according to ČSN EN ISO 2812-1:2013, Method 1. It shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 class 2 (classification according to EN
13300). The paint is easy to process, safe for health, and environmentally friendly.
Brush, roller, AIRLESS spraying, e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 100 – 130 bar, nozzle size 517 or 519, filter in the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, it is always recommended to perform tests on specific equipment beforehand.
The substrate must be dry and mature. Overly absorbent, crumbling or non-cohesive substrates should be treated with suitable acrylic primer REMAL, BARLET or SOICRAT. Dilute the paint by max. 5 - 10 % water and mix thoroughly. Apply the paint after the primer has dried in two coats with a brush or roller. The paint can also be applied by pressure spraying. Additional layers should be applied only after complete drying. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. For cohesive areas, use the product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.
Observe basic hygiene rules during work. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with foodstuffs, animal feed, and drinking water. Keep out of reach of children. If you do not feel well, seek medical help. The product contains a biocide. Contains 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220 -239-6] (3:1), 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one.
The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in its original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.
Disposal of acrylic facade paint packaging and waste:
Dispose of containers with leftover product at the location designated by the municipality for collecting other waste. See also section 13 of the product safety data sheet.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes a rapid method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of paint. As for the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasive (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the mean value of the thickness loss of the coating. To determine cleanability, the specified contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating for the prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
A classification system of 5 classes is used - class 1 is the best - class 5 is the worst. Grading as in school.
