BARLET acrylic Plus base A is a modern acrylic facade paint designed for tinting at our stores, white base A is used as a white facade paint. With low consumption, it provides excellent coverage, covers micro-cracks, and is very suitable for the renovation of insulation systems. It is used for coatings of lime-cement plasters, concrete, aerated concrete, particle boards, and renovation plasters in interiors and exteriors.

The paint is resistant to selected disinfectants (it can be used for coatings of repeatedly disinfected interiors in hospitals). Resistance to liquids according to ČSN EN ISO 2812-1:2013, Method 1. It exhibits resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 class 2 (classification according to EN
13300). The paint is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly.

Method of applying facade paint:

Brush, roller, AIRLESS spraying e.g. STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure 100 – 130 bar, nozzle size 517 or 519, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, it is recommended to always conduct tests on a specific device in advance

Example of coating with acrylic facade paint

The substrate must be dry and matured. Too absorbent, crumbling, or non-adhering substrates should be treated with a suitable acrylic primer REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Dilute the paint with a maximum of 5 - 10 % water and mix thoroughly. Apply the paint in two layers with a brush or roller after the primer has dried. The paint can also be applied using pressure spraying. Apply additional layers only after complete drying. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. Use products from the same batch on continuous surfaces, mix different batches before using.

Handling of facade paint:

When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with foodstuffs, animal feeds, and drinking water. Keep out of reach of children. If you do not feel well, seek medical attention. The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 2-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazolin-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazolin-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1), 2-methylisothiazolin-3(2H)-one.

Storage of acrylic facade paint:

The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of production, in its original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of containers and waste of acrylic facade paint:

Dispose of containers with product residues at the place designated by the municipality for collecting other waste. See also section 13 of the product safety data sheet.

The washability of the paint in practice is addressed by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only establishes the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles in wet testing abrasion (cleaning) equipment. The mass loss is used to calculate the average thickness loss of the coating. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to identically prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating for a prescribed period. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best - class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
