DENAS UNIVERSAL SATIN is a water-based topcoat in a semi-matte finish, intended for coatings of structural elements and constructions made of wood, metal, construction materials, fresh galvanized sheet metal, galvanized roofing tiles, aluminum, certain types of plastics, laminate, ceramic tiles with a silane additive, and drywall. It meets the standard for the surface treatment of products and toys for children aged 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is also suitable for contact with food. The resulting coatings exhibit excellent resistance, do not chalk or become brittle when exposed to UV radiation and weather influences, and reliably withstand household cleaning agents. Treated surfaces show extreme mechanical resistance and ensure long-lasting durability in both indoor and outdoor environments.

See Declaration of Conformity. The product is safe under the conditions of intended use and meets hygiene requirements for toys and products for children up to 3 years of age (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, section III. Chemical substances, point 12, and also meets hygiene requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as stipulated by MZČR Regulation No. 38/2001 Coll., as amended for white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure that the product placed on the market complies with the technical documentation and basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of certifications when tinting outside the manufacturer’s premises.
Application procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free from dirt, non-adhering layers of old coatings, and grease. New metal surfaces should be protected with 1-2 layers of DENAS ANTI-CORROSION BASE or DENAS 2-in-1 for metals, then apply the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. Wooden substrates should first be unified with DENAS WOOD BASE or diluted DENAS UNIVERSAL paint at a ratio of 1:1 with water, in 1-2 layers depending on the absorbency of the wood. After that, apply the topcoat with undiluted paint in 1-2 layers. For exterior wood, we recommend protection to a suitable depth with a biocidal wood preservative. Protect mineral substrates with 1-2 layers of a penetrating primer and then apply the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. The minimum temperature for application and drying of the coating is +10 °C and air humidity up to 70%.

Safety and hygiene of the paint for wood and metal:
Under normal use, there are no situations that would require immediate medical assistance. Recommendation: Follow personal hygiene principles during work. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When spraying, use respiratory protection. If the eyes are affected, rinse with plenty of water.
Waste disposal:
Dispose of leftover paints and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its useful properties in the original unopened packaging at least until the date indicated on the lid.
