Apeko V1306 adhesive is a adhesive for standard wallpapers designed for gluing various types of wallpapers in interiors on wood, metal, concrete, plasters, wooden materials and similar surfaces. The Apeko wallpaper adhesive can also be used as a liquid size for painting preparations. The dispersion liquid adhesive for wallpapers is suitable for paper wallpapers, PVC wallpapers with a paper backing, reflective wallpapers, and decorative papers.

Usage of wallpaper adhesive:

For gluing reflective, paper, and PVC wallpapers with a paper backing in interiors on wood, metal, concrete, plasters, agglomerated wooden materials, and similar substrates. At least one of the glued materials or substrates must be absorbent. The adhesive can also be used as a liquid size for painting preparations.

Preparation of the substrate for wallpaper adhesive:

How to glue wallpaper on the wall? The substrate for wallpaper adhesive must be solid, dry, level, smooth, free of cracks, and clean. Metal should be treated with an appropriate anti-corrosive primer. On standard construction substrates (plasters, concrete, fiberboards, etc.), wallpapering can be done directly. If the substrate is painted with a sizing paint, it must be removed (by soaking and scraping). To strengthen the substrate and ensure its penetration, the wallpaper adhesive diluted with up to five times the amount of water is used. The primer must dry for at least 2 hours. Larger irregularities must first be repaired with plaster. This repaired substrate must be sanded before starting to hang wallpaper.

Example of the work process:

Depending on the type of wallpaper, the adhesive is diluted – for paper wallpapers 2:1 with water, i.e., dilute 1 kg of adhesive with 0.5 l of water, for PVC wallpapers 3:1 with water, i.e., dilute 1 kg of adhesive with 0.33 l of water), and for reflective wallpapers, the adhesive is not diluted.

Actual wallpapering:

Before applying the wallpaper, cut it to the required length. The wallpapers should be soaked in water for 3–10 minutes. Apply the Apeko wallpaper adhesive to the prepared substrate and start gluing after 2 minutes. The wallpapers are pasted from top to bottom and smoothed with a soft brush, sponge, or rubber roller, and excess adhesive is removed with a damp sponge or cloth. Wallpaper that has been applied can be gently washed after 5 days (if varnished) with lukewarm water mixed with detergent. The temperature of the substrate and the surrounding environment must be at least +10 °C during application.

Composition of wallpaper adhesive:

Viscous solution containing an acrylate dispersion and a cellulose derivative solution in water with the addition of special additives and fungicidal agents.
