Substrates for wallpaper adhesive:

On wood, metal, concrete, plaster, particleboard and similar substrates. At least one of the glued materials or substrates must be absorbent.

Application of wallpaper adhesive:

Brush, roller.

Coverage of wallpaper adhesive:

5 to 7 m²/kg.

Dilution of wallpaper adhesive:

Wallpaper adhesive is diluted with water. For substrate priming 1:3, for paper wallpapers 2:1, for PVC wallpapers 3:1, for reflective wallpapers it is not diluted.

Working procedure of Apeko wallpaper adhesive:

Before applying wallpapers, all surfaces must be free of dust, loose particles and grease. Any old coatings in larger layers must be scraped off. Significantly absorbent and crumbling surfaces must be pre-treated with an appropriate primer, e.g. BARLET, SOICRAT or diluted APEKO adhesive (dilute 1 part adhesive with 3 parts water).

Depending on the type of wallpaper, Apeko wallpaper adhesive is diluted with clean water before use. Water is added gradually while stirring continuously: paper wallpapers (2:1 with water, i.e. 1 kg of adhesive diluted with 0.5 liters of water), PVC wallpapers (3:1 with water, i.e. 1 kg of adhesive diluted with 0.33 liters of water), for reflective wallpapers the adhesive is not diluted.

After thorough mixing, the wallpaper adhesive is applied with a brush or roller to the center of the prepared wallpaper strip and spread to the sides. Immediately before gluing, the adhesive is also applied to the edges of the substrate. The strips are then glued from top to bottom. The wallpaper must be pressed to the substrate with a brush, sponge, or roller downwards and to the sides. All tools and any soiled areas should be washed immediately with water.

Actual wallpapering:

Wallpapers are cut to the required length before gluing. They are soaked in water for 3–10 minutes. Apeko V 1306 is applied to the prepared substrate and after 2 minutes, gluing begins. Wallpapers are glued from top to bottom and smoothed with a soft brush, sponge or rubber roller, excess adhesive is removed with a damp sponge or cloth. Wallpapers glued in this manner can be gently cleaned after 5 days (if coated) with lukewarm water mixed with detergent. The temperature of the substrate and surrounding environment must not be lower than +10 °C during application.

Handling of wallpaper adhesive:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water or for coating children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention. The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl) hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1).
