Detecha Superkov base and top coat for metal, brown matte, 5 kg

Base and top coat anti-corrosion synthetic paint for metal intended for surface treatment of metal materials and their effective protection against the onset of corrosion. Creates a high barrier effect against prolonged effects of weather conditions and sunlight. For long-term protection (up to 8 years), 2 - 3 coats of Superkov are sufficient without prior priming. SUPERKOV is both a base and top anti-corrosion coating for metal, galvanized roofing, steel structures, gutters, etc.

Properties of metal paint:

• Alkyd coating material with a higher solid content.
• Functions as a quality anti-corrosion primer and at the same time as a top protective coat with high barrier effect.
• Contains an effective corrosion inhibitor including a UV ray absorber that acts against the degradation of the coating due to weather effects.
• SUPERKOV requires no primer or subsequent top coats

Usage:
Base and top coatings for metal roofs, steel structures, gutters, fences, and all metal objects exposed to prolonged weather exposure (including sunlight) without prior treatment with a primer. We recommend painting freshly galvanized sheets after 1 year of exposure to weather conditions or after prior surface treatment with a suitable agent.

Coverage:
Theoretical coverage per coat is 7 – 9 m² from 1 kg of paint at a typical dry film thickness of 40 – 50 µm (corresponding wet thickness is 75 - 100 µm). Actual coverage depends on the quality of the substrate and the application method. Maximum durability can be achieved with proper application and a minimum thickness of 150 μm of dry coating.

Surface preparation and application method:
Painted surfaces must be dry, degreased, and free from dirt, rust, and old non-adherent coatings. Before use, thoroughly stir the contents of the can, and if necessary, slightly dilute to the required consistency. The coating is applied with a brush, roller, or spraying in two to three layers at a temperature of +5 to +25 °C. Do not work in direct strong sunlight! The interval between layers is a minimum of 6 hours at a temperature of 20 °C. The coating dries to the touch within 4 hours, hardens within 24 hours. When painting larger continuous surfaces, it is recommended to use products from the same production batch, or mix the contents of individual packages to achieve color homogeneity. For surfaces strongly corroded or difficult to clean, we recommend pre-treating with a anchoring polyurethane product, Fest primer. This will enhance the quality and lifespan of the entire coating system.
