Hammerite smooth paint directly on rusted metal, dark brown shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth is a single-component, air-drying decorative and anti-corrosive paint designed for iron metals (steel, iron, cast iron) for indoor and outdoor use. The formulation is developed for application directly on corroded metal and provides active protection against corrosion for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, the coating exhibits high water repellency. The paint is characterized by easy application and short drying times. The created surface adheres well to the substrate, withstands impacts and bending, and is washable with water and detergents.

It features high thermal resistance – tolerates continuous temperature exposure of 80 °C and regular temperatures up to 150 °C, however, prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding 50 °C may lead to a change in shade – fading. It also has excellent chemical resistance – after full curing, it can withstand splashes from diluted acids or bases (with a maximum concentration of 10%), diesel fuel, gasoline, and all common construction materials, but treated surfaces must not be immersed in the mentioned chemicals.

Instructions for use:
The surface must be dry, free of grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove any peeling rust! Roughen sound painted metal surfaces with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with water mixed with detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering residues of old coatings, and clean the surface thoroughly with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper or handheld sander. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to increase adhesion. For unpainted zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite directly on non-ferrous metals without the need for a primer. For previously painted surfaces, apply a test coat and let dry for 4 hours. If an adverse reaction occurs, remove the old coating.

Do not dilute, gently mix, do not use mechanical stirring. Apply in two thick layers (100 microns). Do not overspread the paint. Apply additional coats at least 6 hours apart. Resistant to rain after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from the brush and roller. Clean the brush/roller with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly upon contact with air and can form a skin in the can. Do not pour into drains and watercourses. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the original sealed container at temperatures of +5 to +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The lot number and production date are indicated on the packaging. Use within 60 months from the production date.
