Hammerite Hammered Paint Directly on Rusty Metal, Black Shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Direct on Rust Hammered is a single-component, air-drying decorative and anti-corrosive paint designed for iron metals (cast iron, steel, iron) in both indoor and outdoor environments. It has been developed specifically for painting rusty metal, providing active protection against corrosion for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, it reliably repels water. The paint stands out for its easy application and quick drying. The resulting coating adheres well to the substrate, resists impacts and bending, and can be washed with water and detergents.

It features high thermal resistance – it can withstand continuous temperature loads of 80 °C and regular loads of up to 150 °C, while prolonged exposure to temperatures above 50 °C may lead to color change and fading. It also offers excellent chemical resistance – after full curing, it can withstand contamination from gasoline, diesel fuel, common building materials, and diluted acids or bases (up to a maximum concentration of 10%), but treated surfaces must not be submerged in these chemicals.

Instructions for use:
The surface must be dry, free of grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove any flaking rust! Prepare intact painted metal surfaces by roughening with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with water mixed with detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering remnants of old paints, thoroughly clean the surface with a wire brush or sand with coarse sandpaper or a hand grinder. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to increase adhesion. For unpainted zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite Direct on Non-Ferrous Metals without the need for a primer. On previously painted surfaces, apply a test coat and let it dry for 4 hours. If there is an adverse reaction, remove the old paint.

Do not dilute, lightly mix, do not use mechanical mixing. Apply in two thick coats (100 microns). Do not over-spread the paint. Apply the next coat at least 6 hours later. Rain resistant after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from the brush and roller. Clean the brush/roller with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly when in contact with air and may form a skin in the can. Do not dispose of in sewage and watercourses. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the original sealed container at temperatures of +5 to +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The batch number and manufacturing date are indicated on the packaging. Use within 60 months from the date of manufacture.
