Hammerite Hammered Paint Directly on Rusty Metal, Black Shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Directly on Rust Hammered is a one-component air-drying anti-corrosive and decorative paint for iron metals (steel, iron, cast iron) for use indoors and outdoors. The coating is specifically developed for corroded metal, providing active protection against corrosion for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, high water repellency of the coating is guaranteed. The coating excels in a short drying time and is easy to use. The coating is washable with water and detergents, resistant to bending and impact, and has good adhesion to the substrate.

It has high thermal resistance – continuous exposure to temperature up to 80 °C, regular exposure to temperature up to 150 °C, prolonged exposure to temperatures over 50 °C may cause discoloration – fading. Excellent chemical resistance – fully cured, it withstands splashes from diluted acids or alkalis (maximum concentration of 10%), gasoline, diesel, and all common construction materials, but painted surfaces must not be submerged in the aforementioned chemicals.

Application Instructions:
The surface must be dry, free from grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove any peeling rust! Roughen preserved painted metal surfaces with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with water mixed with detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering remnants of old paints, clean the surface thoroughly with a wire brush or sand with coarse sandpaper or hand grinder. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to improve adhesion. On unpainted zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite Directly on Non-Ferrous Metals without the need for a primer. For previously painted surfaces, apply a test patch and let it dry for 4 hours. If an unfavorable reaction occurs, remove the old paint.

Do not dilute, lightly mix, do not use mechanical mixing. Apply in two thick layers (100 microns). Do not excessively spread the paint. Apply a second coat after at least 6 hours. Rain resistant after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from brushes and rollers. Clean brushes/rollers with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly when in contact with air and a crust may form in the can. Do not pour into sewage or watercourses. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the closed original container at temperatures between +5 and +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The batch number and production date are indicated on the packaging. Use within 60 months from the production date.
