Hammerite smooth paint directly on rusty metal, black shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth is a one-component, air-drying paint with decorative and anti-corrosive properties, designed for iron metals (steel, iron, cast iron) in indoor and outdoor environments. The formula has been specifically designed for corroded metal and provides active protection against corrosion for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, high water repellency of the coating is assured. The paint features easy application and dries in a very short time. The created film is characterized by good adhesion to the substrate, impact and bend resistance, and can be washed with water and detergents.

It exhibits high thermal resistance – it can withstand permanent exposure to temperatures of 80 °C and regular loads up to 150 °C, while prolonged exposure to temperatures above 50 °C may lead to a color change in the form of fading. Another advantage is the excellent chemical resistance: after full curing, it withstands contamination with diluted bases or acids (with a maximum concentration of 10%), gasoline, diesel fuel, and all common construction materials. However, the painted surfaces should not be directly immersed in the mentioned chemicals.

Instructions for use:
The surface must be dry, free of grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove peeling rust! Roughen sound painted metal surfaces with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with water containing detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering remnants of old coatings, and clean the surface thoroughly with a wire brush or by sanding with coarse sandpaper or a hand grinder. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to increase adhesion. Apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals on unpainted zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite directly on non-ferrous metals without the need for a primer. On previously painted surfaces, apply a trial coat and let it dry for 4 hours. In case of an adverse reaction, remove the old coat.

Do not dilute, mix lightly, do not use mechanical mixing. Apply in two thick layers (100 microns). Do not excessively spread the paint. Apply another coat after a minimum of 6 hours. Rain resistant after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from the brush and roller. Clean brush/roller with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly upon contact with air and may form a skin in the can. Do not pour down the drain or into water bodies. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the original sealed container at a temperature of +5 to +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The batch number and date of manufacture are indicated on the package. Consume within 60 months from the date of manufacture.
