Hammerite Hammered Paint Directly on Rusty Metal, Brown Shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Direct to Rust Hammered is a one-component, air-drying decorative paint with anti-corrosive properties, designed for iron metals (cast iron, iron, and steel) in both indoor and outdoor environments. It has been developed specifically for application on rusty metal and provides active anti-corrosive protection for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, the coating effectively repels water. It is characterized by easy application and quick drying. The finished surface can be washed with soapy water, adheres well to the substrate, and resists impacts and bending.

It features high heat resistance – it can withstand continuous temperature loads of 80 °C and regular exposure to temperatures reaching up to 150 °C, while long-term exposure to temperatures exceeding 50 °C may cause discoloration and fading. It also offers excellent chemical resistance – after full curing, it can withstand contact with diluted acids or bases (up to a maximum concentration of 10%), diesel, gasoline, and all common construction materials. However, treated surfaces must not be immersed in the mentioned chemicals.

Instructions for use:
The surface must be dry, free of grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove any peeling rust! Roughen preserved painted metal surfaces with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with soapy water, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering remnants of old coatings, and clean the surface thoroughly with a wire brush or by sanding with coarse sandpaper or a handheld grinder. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to increase adhesion. For unpainted zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite Direct to Non-Ferrous Metals without the need for a primer. For previously painted surfaces, apply a test coat and let it dry for 4 hours. If adverse reactions occur, remove the old coating.

Do not dilute, mix lightly, do not use mechanical mixing. Apply in two thick layers (100 microns). Do not excessively spread the paint. Apply another coat at least after 6 hours. Rain resistant after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from the brush and roller. Clean brush/roller with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly upon contact with air and may form a skin in the can. Do not pour into drains and watercourses. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the original sealed container at a temperature of +5 to +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The batch number and production date are indicated on the package. Consume within 60 months from the date of production.
