Detecha Ekoban wood and concrete paint, gray, 5 kg

Water-dilutable paint for concrete and other absorbent materials with mild mechanical stress. The coating is flexible with very good adhesion to the substrate. It is water-resistant and vapor-permeable. A product with an excellent quality-to-price ratio.

Application:
Coatings for concrete, concrete surfaces, especially concrete floors, vertical walls, and other absorbent materials subjected to mild mechanical stress in interiors. Also for wood, particleboard, and fiberboard. When used on non-absorbent and smooth concrete, ceramic tiles, and concrete modified with leveling compounds, adhesion and mechanical resistance of the coating film decrease. It is not recommended for use in permanently damp areas and in places where floors need to be cleaned with abrasive agents and machine washing. Not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, for coatings of children's furniture and toys.

Substrate preparation and application method:
The concrete must be mature (min. 28 days), dry (max. 15% moisture), absorbent (not smoothed), cohesive with a minimum tensile strength of 1.5 MPa, smooth without greasy stains from oils, etc. It must be free of all mechanical contaminants and old coatings. Absorbent substrates must be treated with a primer. For this purpose, EKOBAN® diluted with water in a ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:10 can be used. Add water gradually and mix during dilution. In case of higher substrate absorbency, the primer coat can be repeated until the product is absorbed. Before use, the paint must be thoroughly mixed and diluted with water if necessary (max. 5%). It is applied with a brush, roller, or spray in two or more layers at a substrate and ambient temperature of +10 to +25°C, always after the previous layer has dried. Temperature conditions must be maintained throughout the drying process of the coating! The speed of drying depends on the applied thickness, temperature, humidity, and air circulation. The coated surface is walkable after approximately 8 hours. After 24 hours, the floor can be gradually subjected to mechanical stress. The final properties of the coating are achieved after 10 days of curing. We recommend finishing the last layer with paint from the same production batch to eliminate possible shade differences. To improve the washability of the floor and increase mechanical resistance, we recommend top-coating the last layer of paint with Ekoban varnish.

Warning:
Carry out the first primer coat with Ekoban diluted 1:5 – 1:15 depending on the substrate absorbency. Dilution should be done gradually with constant mixing.

Coverage:
The coverage for one layer is 5.5 - 7 m² per 1 kg of paint and is affected by the quality of the substrate and the application technique.
