Detecha Ekoban wood and concrete paint, gray, 5 kg

Water-dilutable paint for concrete and other absorbent materials with moderate mechanical stress. The coating is flexible with very good adhesion to the substrate. It is water-resistant and vapor-permeable. A product with an excellent quality-to-price ratio.

Usage:
Coatings for concrete, concrete surfaces, especially concrete floors, vertical walls, and other absorbent materials subjected to moderate mechanical stress indoors. Also for wood, chipboard, and fiberboard. Using it on non-absorbent and fiberglass concrete, ceramic tiles, and on concretes treated with leveling compounds reduces the adhesion and mechanical resistance of the coating film. Not recommended for use in permanently damp areas and in places where floors need to be cleaned with abrasive agents and machine washing. Not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's furniture and toys.

Substrate preparation and application method:
Concrete must be mature (min. 28 days), dry (max. 15% moisture), absorbent (not treated), cohesive with a minimum tensile bond strength of 1.5 MPa, smooth without greasy stains from oils, etc. It must be free from all mechanical impurities and old coatings. Absorbent substrates must be treated with a primer. For this purpose, EKOBAN® diluted with water in a ratio of about 1:5 to 1:10 can be used. Add water gradually and mix during dilution. In case of higher absorption of the substrate, it is possible to repeat the primer until the product is absorbed. Before use, the paint should be thoroughly mixed and, if necessary, diluted with water (max. 5%). It is applied with a brush, roller, or by spraying in two or more layers at a substrate and ambient temperature of +10 to +25°C, always after the previous layer has dried. Temperature conditions must be maintained throughout the drying time of the coating! The drying speed depends on the thickness applied, temperature, humidity, and airflow. The coated surface is walkable in approximately 8 hours. After 24 hours, the floor can be gradually mechanically loaded. The final properties of the coating are achieved after 10 days of curing. We recommend applying the final layer with paint from the same production batch to eliminate possible shade differences. To improve the washability of the floor and increase mechanical resistance, we recommend overcoating the last layer of paint with Ekoban floor lacquer.

Warning:
Perform the first primer coat with Ekoban diluted 1:5 - 1:15 depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Dilution should be done gradually while mixing constantly.

Coverage:
The coverage for one layer is 5.5 - 7 m² per 1 kg of paint and is influenced by the quality of the substrate and application technique.
