Hammerite Smooth Paint Directly on Rusted Metal, White Shade, 0.7 l + 0.25 l

Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth is a one-component air-drying anti-corrosive and decorative paint for ferrous metals (steel, iron, cast iron) for use in both exterior and interior. The coating is specially developed directly for corroded metal, providing active protection against corrosion for up to 8 years. Thanks to the new DUALTECH technology, high water repellency of the coating is guaranteed. The coating features a short drying time and is easy to use. The coating is washable with water and detergents, resistant to bending and impact, and has good adhesion to the substrate.

It has high thermal resistance – continuous temperature load up to 80 °C, regular temperature load up to 150 °C, long-term exposure to temperatures above 50 °C may cause color changes – fading. Excellent chemical resistance – fully cured it withstands splashes of diluted acids or bases (of maximum concentration 10 %), gasoline, diesel fuel, and all common construction materials; however, the painted surfaces must not be submerged in the aforementioned chemicals.

Instructions for Use:
The surface must be dry, free of grease, dust, and dirt before painting. Remove any peeling rust! Roughen intact painted metal surfaces with sandpaper. Do not inhale dust. Then wash with water and detergent, thoroughly rinse with clean water and let dry. For corroded metal surfaces, remove poorly adhering residues of old paints, thoroughly clean the surface with a wire brush or sand down with coarse sandpaper or a hand grinder. Smooth metal surfaces must be roughened to increase adhesion. For untreated zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, apply a special primer for non-ferrous metals. Galvanized surfaces can be treated with Hammerite product directly for non-ferrous metals without the need for a primer. For already painted surfaces, apply a test coat, let it dry for 4 hours. If there is an adverse reaction, remove the old coating.

Do not dilute, lightly mix, do not use mechanical stirring. Apply in two thick layers (100 microns). Do not excessively spread the paint. Apply another coat at least after 6 hours. Rain resistant after 2 hours.

Before cleaning, remove as much paint as possible from the brush and roller. Clean brush/roller with Hammerite thinner. The product is sensitive to air. The paint dries quickly when exposed to air and may form a skin in the can. Do not pour down the drain or into water bodies. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. Warning: Do not use empty containers for food storage. Store in a dry place, in the original closed package at temperatures of +5 to +30 °C. Protect the can from frost and direct sunlight. The batch number and date of manufacture are indicated on the packaging. Consume within 60 months from the date of manufacture.
