Self-priming multifunctional synthetic paint. Zbase and top semi-matt anticorrosive paint for metal.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Single-layer semi-matt paint combining the properties of a base anticorrosive coating, intermediate layer, and top color. It is intended for direct application on metals in both outdoor and indoor environments. The paint for metal is ideal for coatings of steel materials, oxidized and freshly galvanized surfaces such as roofs, metal structures, masts, fences, columns, gates, etc. The paint for metal can also be used for coating absorbent substrates such as wood and chipboard. The Teflon contained in the paint creates a non-wettable layer on the surface of the coating, which prevents dirt, atmospheric deposits, and water from adhering to and affecting the coated surface. Therefore, the HOSTAGRUND 3v1 PRIM coating exhibits long durability, excellent weather resistance, and perfect barrier protection. It is available in a wide range of shades, and for those who prefer a custom shade, its tinting base is available for creating an additional 5,000 shades.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The substrate for application must be clean, dry, free of grease, loose rust, and dust, mechanically cleaned. First of all, the surface must be degreased using a suitable cleaning agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 TECHNICAL BENZINE, BALTECH P6401 ACETONE, or where possible, warm pressurized water with detergent). If there are any residues of various salts, the surface must then be rinsed with clean water. Coarse and well-adhering contaminants must be removed manually or mechanically (sanding, scraping). Any loose rust can also be removed manually or mechanically (metal brushes, sanding discs).
Preparation of the surface of freshly galvanized sheets before painting: prepare a mixture of 10 l water, 0.5 l ammonia water (25%) and approximately 50 ml wetting agent (detergent). This solution is applied to the treated sheet and after about 10 minutes of action, it is spread, for example, with a synthetic fleece cloth on a handle, until a metallic gray foam is formed. Followed by a thorough rinse with clean water. The paint is applied after the sheet has completely dried. Absorbent substrates must first be soaked with a suitable primer that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and free of old non-adhering coatings.

Dilution: BALTECH S6006

Theoretical coverage: 10 - 12 m²/ l for one layer

WORKING PROCEDURE:

The paint is applied to the pre-prepared substrate. Before use, the paint is diluted with BALTECH S6006 thinner as needed and thoroughly mixed. It is applied in 2 to 3 layers depending on the expected environmental demands. The interval for applying individual layers is a minimum of 24 hours. The recommended thickness of one dry layer is 30 - 40 µm. Shades 0912 aluminum and 0970 copper can be applied with a brush and roller only without the claim to aesthetic appearance. These shades are primarily intended for spray application.

You may find covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes and rollers.
