Jubin Akrilin is a dispersion acrylic filler designed for high-quality repairs of surface defects (cracks, scratches, depressions, and grooves) in solid wood, veneered or non-veneered chipboard panels, etc. before their final surface treatment. It meets the requirements of EN 71-3.
It is easy to apply, has good adhesion to the substrate, and dries quickly. Due to its extremely low content of hazardous substances, it is also suitable for decorative finishing of children's toys.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be solid, dry, and clean, free from loose particles, dust, grease, and other impurities. The moisture content of the wood must not exceed 12% (deciduous) or 15% (coniferous). Resinous surfaces of the wood should be cleaned with nitro thinner or another solvent and allowed to dry thoroughly.
Preparation and Application of the Filler
AKRILIN is ready for immediate use. It is applied with a stainless steel spatula to fill all cracks, depressions, grooves, scratches, seams, and other defects and damages. Shallow defects are repaired with one layer of filler, while deeper gaps and depressions are filled with multiple layers, ensuring that the thickness of individual layers does not exceed 1 mm. Each subsequent
layer is applied only after the previous layer is completely dry. The dried filled surface is then sanded down with fine sandpaper, either mechanically or manually.
The application of the leveling compound is only possible under suitable weather or microclimatic conditions: the air and wall substrate temperatures must be between +5 to +35°C, with relative humidity not exceeding 80%. When working outdoors, protect the treated surface from direct sunlight and wind during application and curing, but even on protected areas, such work should not be done in rain, fog, or strong winds (>30 km/h).
