Water-dilutable paint for concrete and other absorbent materials with higher mechanical stress. The coating is flexible with very good adhesion to the substrate. Coated surfaces exhibit very good mechanical resistance, resisting water, salt solutions, oils, and short-term diesel fuel. The coating is vapor-permeable and withstands weather conditions including UV radiation. These properties are maintained even when applied to other porous materials such as wood, eternit, etc.
Usage:
For indoor and outdoor use. Concrete, concrete floors (garages, workshops, warehouses, stairs, balconies, terraces), masonry. Wood, particleboard, fiberboard, and other absorbent materials. It is not recommended for use in permanently damp areas and in places where floors need to be cleaned with abrasive agents and machine washing.
Yield:
The yield for one coat is 6 - 7.5 m² per 1 kg of paint, depending on the quality of the substrate and the application technique.
Preparation of the substrate and method of application:
Concrete must be mature (at least 28 days), dry (max. 15% moisture), absorbent (not sealed), cohesive with a minimum tensile strength of 1.5 MPa, smooth without greasy stains from oils, etc. It must be free of all mechanical contaminants and old coatings. Absorbent substrates must be treated with a primer. For this purpose, EKOBAN® FORTE PLUS diluted with water in a ratio of 1:5 to 1:10 can be used. Add water gradually and mix during dilution. In case of higher absorption of the substrate, it is necessary to repeat the priming until the preparation is absorbed. Before use, the paint should be thoroughly mixed and, if necessary, diluted with water (max. 5%). It is applied with a brush, roller, or spraying in two or more layers at temperatures of the substrate and surrounding environment of +10 to +25 °C, always after the previous layer has dried. The temperature conditions must be maintained throughout the drying time of the coating! The drying speed depends on the thickness applied, temperature, humidity, and air circulation. The coated surface is walkable in about 8 hours. After 24 hours, the floor can gradually be subjected to mechanical stress. The final properties of the coating are achieved after 14 days of curing. It is recommended to use a final layer of paint from one production batch to eliminate possible color differences.
Warning:
Perform the first priming coat with Ekoban Forte Plus diluted 1:5 – 1:10 according to the absorbency of the substrate. Dilution should be done gradually with constant mixing.
