Lazurol S1080 Terrace Oil Colorless, 750 ml

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions, and for coatings in interiors, such as terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, cottages, and wooden houses.

It protects wood long-term from the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and staining of the wood, allowing it to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains dearomatized gasoline. It has excellent penetrating abilities, emphasizes the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective silk-matt coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. The product has an anti-slip certificate for both dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudates beforehand, for example, by rinsing with BALTECH C6000 nitro thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and also the overall durability of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the wood surface must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal preserver that ensures wood protection against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, using LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. Then, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the terrace oil be applied. For renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove old coatings, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Grooved or coarsely cut woods require a larger amount of paint due to the nature of the surface.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted; it is ready for use. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the terrace oil. It is advisable to apply two to three layers of terrace oil in thin layers to avoid excess oil remaining on the surface. The surface can be sanded with fine sandpaper between individual coats. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch for solid areas. The same color shade is guaranteed when using the same production batch.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in oil must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
