Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is designed for protective staining coatings on soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetrations of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the wood structure and emphasizes its grain. It provides long-term protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for interior use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetrations of wooden floors.

PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish and the total durability of the coating system.

The wood surface intended for outdoor use must first be soaked with a suitable fungicidal impregnating agent that protects the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The wood surface intended for indoor use is best pre-soaked with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. The penetration of the colorless impregnating agent ensures the wood has a uniform absorbency for subsequent coating applications. Then, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the soaking stain. When renovating, the wood must be stripped of the old, non-adhering layer, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (mainly for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing onto the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During the work, the staining varnish must be regularly mixed. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform highlighting of the wood grain, it is recommended to wipe off the unwetted varnish after 10 to 15 minutes with a dry brush or cloth.

Always use material from one production batch for large areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coat of the wood affect the final color of the coating, so we recommend a test coat before the final application. Claims for color shades will only be accepted with a complaint of the test area.

For a high gloss finish, the dried coat made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be safely disposed of, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
