DENAS UNIVERSAL MAT is a top water-dilutable paint for coating building elements and structures made of wood, metal, building materials, freshly galvanized sheet metal and galvanized roofing sheets, aluminum, certain types of plastics, melamine faced board, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, plasterboard. It meets the standard for surface treatment of products and toys for children aged 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. The coatings have excellent durability, do not chalk, nor become brittle under UV radiation and weather effects, and are resistant to household cleaning agents. The painted surfaces are extremely mechanically resistant and show long durability in both interior and exterior.

The product is safe under intended conditions of use and meets hygienic requirements for toys and products for children 3 years and under (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12 and also meets hygienic requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as established by Ministry of Health Regulation No. 38/2001 Coll., as amended for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure compliance of the product placed on the market with the technical documentation and with the basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of certificates when toning outside the manufacturer's premises.
Application Procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free of dirt, non-adhering layers from older coatings, and grease. Protect new metal surfaces with 1-2 coats of DENAS ANTI-CORROSION BASE for METAL or DENAS METALS 2IN1, then apply the top coat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. For wooden substrates, first unify with DENAS WOOD BASE or diluted DENAS UNIVERSAL paint in a ratio of 1:1 with water, and this in 1-2 layers considering the absorbency of the wood. Then perform the top coat with undiluted paint in 1-2 layers. We recommend protecting exterior wood to depth with an appropriate impregnating agent containing biocides. Protect mineral substrates with a coat of penetrating agent in 1-2 layers, and then top coat with DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. The minimum temperature for application and drying of the coating is +10 °C and air humidity of up to 70 %.

Safety and hygiene of paint for wood and metal:
In usual use, there are no situations requiring immediate medical assistance. Recommendation: When working, follow personal hygiene principles. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When spraying, use respiratory protection. In case of eye contact, rinse with water.
Disposal of waste:
Dispose of leftover paint and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its useful properties in the original unopened packaging for at least until the date stated on the cap/lid.
