Self-priming multifunctional synthetic paint. Base and top coat anti-corrosive semi-matt paint for metal.
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Single-layer semi-matt paint combining the properties of an anti-corrosive primer, intermediate layer, and simultaneously a top coat. It is designed for direct coatings of metals in outdoor and indoor environments. The paint for metal is ideal for painting steel materials, oxidized and fresh galvanized surfaces such as roofs, metal structures, masts, fences, poles, gates, etc. The metal paint can also be used for coating absorbent substrates such as wood and particle board. The Teflon contained in the paint creates a non-wetting layer on the surface of the coating, which prevents dirt, airborne debris, and water from adhering and acting on the coated surface. Therefore, the HOSTAGRUND 3v1 PRIM coating exhibits long durability, excellent weather resistance, and perfect barrier protection. It is available in a wide range of colors, and for those who prefer a custom shade, a tinting base is available to create an additional 5,000 shades.
Key features:
• long-term resistance to weather influences
• barrier anti-corrosive protection
• contains Teflon
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate for application must be clean, dry, free from grease, loose rust, and dust, and mechanically cleaned. First of all, the surface must be degreased using a suitable cleaning agent (e.g., BALTECH P6402 TECHNICAL GAS, BALTECH P6401 ACETONE, or where possible, hot pressurized water with detergent content). To remove any residues of various salts, the surface must then be rinsed with clean water. Coarse and well-adhering contaminants must be removed manually or mechanically (by sanding, scraping). Any loose rust can also be removed manually or mechanically (with metal brushes, sanding discs).
Pre-treatment of the surface of freshly galvanized sheets before painting: prepare a mixture of 10 l of water, 0.5 l of ammonia water (25% solution), and approximately 50 ml of wetting agent (detergent). This solution is applied to the treated sheet and after about 10 minutes of action, it is spread, e.g., with a cloth made of artificial fleece on a handle, until a metallic gray foam is created. Then, rinse thoroughly with clean water. The paint is applied after the sheet is completely dry. Absorbent substrates must first be saturated with a suitable saturator that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and freed from old non-adhering coatings.
Thinning: BALTECH S6006
Theoretical coverage: 10 - 12 m²/ l for one layer
WORKING METHOD:
The paint is applied on the prepared substrate. Before use, the paint should be thinned with BALTECH S6006 thinner as needed and thoroughly mixed. It is applied in 2 to 3 layers depending on the anticipated environmental demands. The interval for applying individual layers is a minimum of 24 hours. The recommended thickness of one dry layer is 30 – 40 µm. Shades 0912 aluminum and 0970 copper can be applied with a brush and roller only without any claims to aesthetic appearance. These shades are mainly intended for spraying applications.
You might need covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or perhaps sanding papers. Don't forget brushes and rollers.| Color: | ostatní barvy |
