DENAS UNIVERZÁL MAT is a top water-based paint for coating construction elements and structures made of wood, metal, building materials, fresh galvanized sheets, galvanized roofing shingles, aluminum, some types of plastics, laminate, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, drywall. It meets the standard for surface treatments of products and toys for children aged 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. The created coatings are characterized by excellent durability, do not chalk or become brittle due to weather effects and UV radiation, and withstand cleaning agents used in households. Treated surfaces offer extreme mechanical resistance and long-lasting durability both indoors and outdoors.

See Declaration of Conformity. The product is safe under specified conditions of use and meets hygiene requirements for toys and products for children under 3 years of age (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12 and also meets hygiene requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as specified by the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 38/2001 Coll., as amended for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has implemented measures to ensure that the product marketed is in accordance with technical documentation and with the basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of certifications when tinting outside the manufacturer’s premises.
Preparation procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free of dirt, non-adhering layers of old coatings, and grease. New metal surfaces should be protected with 1–2 layers of antirust primer DENAS NA KOV-ZÁKLAD or DENAS NA KOVY 2V1, and then apply the top coat DENAS UNIVERZÁL in 1–2 layers. Wooden substrates should first be unified with DENAS NA DŘEVO-ZÁKLAD or thinned DENAS UNIVERZÁL paint in a ratio of 1:1 with water, in 1–2 layers depending on the absorbency of the wood. Then carry out the top coating with undiluted paint in 1–2 layers. For exterior wood, we recommend protection to a depth with a suitable impregnation agent with biocidal effects. Protect mineral substrates by coating with a primer in 1–2 layers and then with the top coat DENAS UNIVERZÁL in 1–2 layers. The minimum temperature during application and drying of the coat is +10 °C and ambient humidity up to 70%.

Safety and hygiene of the paint for wood and metal:
Under normal use, there are no situations requiring immediate medical assistance. Recommendation: Adhere to personal hygiene principles while working. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When applying by spraying, use respiratory protection. In case of eye contact, rinse with water.
Waste disposal:
Dispose of leftover paint and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its useful properties in the original unopened packaging for at least up to the date indicated on the cap/lid.
