Epoxyban epoxy paint for floors, for extreme load, RAL 7045 gray, 5 kg

Two-component synthetic epoxy coating for concrete floors exposed to exceptionally high mechanical loads. The treated surface withstands the operation of heavy handling equipment, continuous contact with hot and wet tire footwear, water, oil substances, and most common chemicals. Epoxyban can also serve as a poured floor. It can be applied in any thickness layer, with no volume change occurring during curing. The final surface finish has a glossy appearance.

Application:
Indoor and outdoor use. Heavily loaded concrete floors (garages, warehouses, production halls, swimming pools, terraces, etc.), masonry, OSB boards. Steel tanks coated with a primer for corrosion protection. (e.g. Fest Primer, Superkov, etc.)

Substrate preparation:
The concrete substrate must be absorbent, matured (min. 28 days), dry, isolated against the effects of moisture from below, load-bearing (tensile strength min. 1.5 MPa), and unraveled. There must be no leached cement milk (dried cement dust) on the surface. The substrate must be free of dust and contamination from grease, diesel stains, asphalt, or other impurities. Dust contaminants are to be vacuumed with a powerful vacuum cleaner. If cleaned with a water jet, the substrate must be thoroughly dried. The relative humidity of the substrate must not exceed 15%.

Coating preparation:

Curing ratio:
Component A and component B are packaged in a precise curing ratio of 4:1. When preparing a smaller amount of coating, both components must be accurately weighed in the specified ratio (Component A 4 parts, Component B 1 part). Failure to maintain the curing ratio caused by inaccurate weighing leads to insufficient curing of the coating film and color shade deviations.

Primer:
Thoroughly mix component A using a mechanical stirrer, add the hardener - component B, and mix very thoroughly throughout the entire volume. Then, while stirring constantly, gradually add thinner S 6300 in the ratio of 2:1 (2 parts Epoxyban, 1 part thinner). The working time for the cured primer mixture is 90 minutes at a temperature of 20 °C and 45 minutes at 30 °C.

Top coat:
Thoroughly mix component A using a mechanical stirrer. Add the hardener - component B, and mix very thoroughly throughout the entire volume. Do not dilute! The usual mixing time with a screw mixer is two minutes. Take care not to incorporate air into the mixed composition. Mix with a low-speed mixing device at 300 to 400 revolutions per minute (do not whip!). We recommend pouring the mixed hardener into another container and mixing it thoroughly again! The working time of the cured mixture is max. 60 minutes at 20 °C. Prepare only as much composition as you can work with. Attention! At higher temperatures of the material and with larger mixed volumes (over 5 kg), the cured material heats up spontaneously, significantly shortening the working time! Always apply the final layer with paint from the same production batch to eliminate any potential shade differences!

Coverage:
At a dry thickness of 200 µm, the theoretical coverage of one layer is 3.5 m² per 1 kg of coating material (290 g/m²). At a dry thickness of 1 mm, the consumption of cured coating material is 1.46 kg per 1 m² (coverage of 0.69 m² per 1 kg).
