Epoxyban epoxy paint for floors, for extreme loads, RAL 7045 gray, 5 kg

Modern synthetic two-component epoxy coating for concrete designed for coating concrete floors with very high mechanical loads. The painted surfaces resist the effects of heavy handling equipment, long-term contact with hot and wet tires, resist water, petroleum products, and most common chemicals. Epoxyban can be used as a poured flooring. It can be applied in any thickness and does not change volume during curing. The resulting coating is glossy.

Usage:
Indoor and outdoor use. Heavily loaded concrete floors (garages, warehouses, production halls, swimming pools, terraces, etc.), masonry, OSB boards. Steel tanks with a basic anti-corrosion coating. (e.g. Fest Primer, Superkov, etc.)

Substrate preparation:
The concrete substrate must be absorbent, mature (min. 28 days), dry, insulated against the effects of rising moisture, load-bearing (tensile strength min. 1.5 MPa), and uncracked. The surface must not have washed out cement milk (dried cement dust). The substrate must be free of dust and must not be contaminated with grease, diesel stains, asphalt, or other impurities. Dusty impurities should be vacuumed with a powerful vacuum cleaner. In case of cleaning with a water jet, the substrate must be thoroughly dried afterwards. The relative humidity of the substrate must not exceed 15%.

Preparation of the coating material:

Curing ratio:
The coating material, component A and component B, is supplied in packages corresponding to the correct curing ratio of 4:1. If you need to separate a smaller amount, it is necessary to weigh both components accurately in this ratio (Component A 4 parts, Component B 1 part). An incorrect curing ratio caused by incorrect weighing will result in insufficient curing of the coating film and color deviations.

Priming coat:
Thoroughly mix component A with a mechanical mixer, add the hardener - component B and mix very thoroughly in the entire volume. Then, while mixing continuously, add diluent S 6300 in a ratio of 2:1 (2 parts of Epoxyban, 1 part of diluent). The working time of the cured priming mixture is 90 minutes at 20 °C and 45 minutes at 30 °C.

Topcoat:
Thoroughly mix component A with a mechanical mixer. Add the hardener - component B and very thoroughly mix it again in the entire volume. Do not dilute! The usual mixing time with a screw mixer is two minutes. Be careful not to incorporate air into the mixed composition. Mix with a low-speed mixing device at 300 to 400 revolutions per minute (do not whip!). It is recommended to pour the cured mixture into another container after mixing and mix thoroughly again! The processing time of the cured mixture is a maximum of 60 minutes at 20 °C. Prepare just such an amount of composition that you are able to process. Warning! At higher temperatures of the material and with larger mixed volumes (over 5 kg), the cured material heats up spontaneously, significantly reducing the processing time! Always apply the final layer with paint from the same production batch to eliminate possible color differences!

Yield:
Theoretical yield for one layer is 3.5 m² per 1 kg of coating material (290 g/m²) at a dry thickness of 200 µm. At a dried thickness of 1 mm, the consumption is 1.46 kg of cured coating material per 1 m² (yield 0.69 m² per 1 kg).
