Self-priming anti-corrosion paint with graphite
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
The paint is specifically designed for single-layer outdoor protective coatings for sheet metal roofing, gutters, steel structures, and other metal items exposed to constant weathering and sunlight. The roof paint contains not only a corrosion inhibitor but also a UV absorber that protects the paint binder from degradation. Protection against degradation of the coating is ensured by the addition of graphite - a Czech patent. Thanks to graphite, the paint features long-term resistance to weather conditions, water repellency, and effective barrier anti-corrosion protection.
Key features:
• long-lasting durability
• barrier protection with graphite
• excellent adhesion
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate for application must be clean, dry, free of grease, rust, and dust, mechanically cleaned. First, the surface must be degreased using a suitable cleaning agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 Technical gasoline, BALTECH P6401 Acetone, or where possible warm pressurized water with detergent). To remove any residue of different salts, the surface must then be rinsed with clean water. Rough and well-adhered dirt must be removed manually or mechanically (sanding, scraping). Any rust can also be removed either manually or mechanically (metal brushes, grinding discs) or with rust removers. If chemical rust removers are used, it is necessary to rinse with clean water afterward. The coating on galvanized sheet can be applied only after one year of exposure to weather conditions.
Porous substrates must first be treated with a suitable primer to ensure uniform absorption of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and stripped of old non-adhering coatings.
DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (brush, roller), diluent BALTECH S6001 (spraying)
Theoretical coverage: 7 - 8 m²/kg for one coat
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Before use, thoroughly mix the contents and dilute as necessary.
Apply 2 to 3 coats (spraying) of FEST-B 2-in-1 ROOF PAINT S2141. The recommended thickness of the dried paint film for one layer is 50 µm. If necessary, additional coatings or sprays can be applied either wet on wet (within about 3 hours) or after drying (after 24 h).
The method of application affects the final appearance of the coating. The structure of the contained graphite can cause color differences (banding) during spreading, but these do not affect the protective properties of the coating.
You may need covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or even sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes and rollers.
