REMAL Color is a water-based tinted paint with a pleasant scent in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings in interiors, on plaster, including renovation plasters, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly.
A wall paint that is slightly washable, shows resistance to abrasion when wet after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Smooth out unevenness on the wall with REMAL Filler.
The paint can be diluted according to the method of application with a maximum of 10% water. Then stir thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous has dried, at least 4 hours later. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5° C during application. For larger areas, use product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.
Follow basic hygiene rules while working. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings on children's toys and children's furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC no. 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC no. 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or evensandpapers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and putty knives.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method of determining resistance to wet abrasion and establishing washability of paint. Regarding paint cleanability, it only defines the testing method itself, but does not specify contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the loss of weight, the average loss of film thickness is calculated. For determining cleanability, contaminants are applied to similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminants are allowed to remain in contact with the paint film for the prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is assessed whether the contaminant was removed, and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
