Application procedure for washable paint:

Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Level out unevenness on the wall with REMAL filler. For touching up spots, e.g., after leaks, it is advisable to use REMAL Flek-stop insulating coating. Before use, mix the coating thoroughly; it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with a REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair. The coating covers in one layer. Recoat at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean contaminated areas and tools immediately after application with water; dry coating is difficult to remove.

Application method for washable wall paint:

REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, filter into the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we recommend always conducting tests on specific equipment beforehand.

Handling of washable paint REMAL:

While working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Washability of paint in practice addresses the standard ABRASION RESISTANCE WET ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and determining the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself, but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average thickness loss of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances remain in contact with the coating film for a prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
