Socrates Lazurit Forte wood stain is a water-based stain intended for outdoor and indoor environments, for industrial production or for crafts. It protects wood from UV radiation. It creates matte surfaces. Modified linseed oil gives the stain very good penetrating properties. It minimizes moisture penetration into the wood. The surface of Lazurit FORTE resists attack from mold and fungi. It prevents further penetration into the wooden substrate. Excellent high durability – 10 years or more. The coating material is not intended for direct contact with food, feed, and drinking water!

Drying:

For handling within 6 hours. Repaintability from 6 to 16 hours. Further coating after 24 hours

Use:

Socrates Lazurit Forte wood stain is intended for top coatings on outdoor wooden cladding of buildings, pergolas, fences, summer houses, etc. In interiors, it is used for coating ceilings, wall cladding, beams in attics, and similar applications. The wood surface for outdoor use should always be roughened with sandpaper No. 60 - 80 before application. A smooth wood surface is unsuitable. Although Lazurit FORTE is not a special coating material for wooden floors, it is still very suitable for coatings on outdoor wooden floors with an appropriate non-slip relief. For example, around pools, porches of summer houses, and similar areas. It withstands weather influences significantly longer than oils. The recommended combination is 2x Lazurit FORTE, or 1x Lazurit FORTE and 1x Lazurit plus. The combination with Lazurit Plus increases the resistance to abrasion and washability of the surface. Where there is a risk of wood being attacked by wood-destroying fungi due to moisture, the wood must be treated with Lignofix E plus, especially in the case of pine. Another biocidal product should be tested first. Footwear soiled with sand damages the surface. A contaminated surface should not be subjected to pressure, especially when wet, with hard brushes. The floor surface must ensure free drainage of water. Non-absorbent woods with high tannin content significantly extend drying time and are therefore unsuitable substrates – oak, acacia, bankirai, etc.

Application:

SOKRATES® Lazurit FORTE is applied with a brush or roller at a minimum temperature of the coating material, air, and substrate of + 10 °C and throughout the drying period. Excess, unabsorbed coating material must be removed with a brush. Recommended application temperature: + 18 °C to + 23 °C

Thinner:

Water.

Tool cleaning:

With water, dried paint can be removed with organic thinners.
