REMAL Acrylic Facade Paint White 40 kg

Facade Paint REMAL FASÁDA is a modern acrylic facade paint that is easy to wash, breathable, excellent at covering, and resistant to weather conditions. It is used for painting lime-cement plasters, masonry, concrete panels, panels made from lightweight materials, brizolite, particle board, etc.

Technical properties of facade paint:

• application with brush, roller, or spraying
• viscosity 3500 - 4500 mPas (Brookfield HB DV 2+ 4/100)
• minimum content of non-volatile substances 57%

Example of application procedure for facade paint:

General conditions that must be adhered to before painting with facade paint:

• repairs with plaster in outdoor environments are not suitable
• old non-adhering coatings must be removed using a scraper or high-pressure water
• older substrates must be evaluated, unsuitable ones removed and repaired with new lime-cement plaster
• new lime-cement plasters must be allowed to cure for at least one month
• the paint application is thin-layered - it follows the substrate, therefore it is recommended to brush or wipe off any sand grains from the surface after the new plasters have dried to prevent shadowing on unevenly smoothed plaster
• the temperature of the substrate and the environment during work is recommended to be between 15° C and 25° C; painting cannot be carried out in rain, strong winds, and intense sunlight
• windows, metal parts, and gutters must be covered, dried residues of paint are difficult to remove
• substrates must be dry and matured before starting paint applications, the moisture of the plaster should be checked with a suitable moisture meter before starting paint applications
• for painting larger areas, it is recommended to use products from the same batch or mix individual batches together, especially concerning color shades
• combining different application techniques (roller + brush) must be pre-tested, especially in deep shades due to the risk of different colors caused by different surfaces of the paint

Too absorbent, crumbling, or non-adhering substrates must be pre-primed (fortified) with a suitable primer, e.g., REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. In the case of local repairs, where it is not possible to wait 4 weeks for the plaster to cure, it can be treated with the neutralizing salt REMAL TELSAL after drying and continued with the aforementioned primer after drying.

Dilute the paint with a maximum of 0.05 l of water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried for at least 4 hours. For continuous areas, use product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling facade paint:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for painting surfaces that come into direct contact with food, animal feeds, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.

Storage of facade paint:

The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of production, in the original unopened package. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of packaging and paint waste:

Dispose of containers with leftover product in designated areas for collecting other waste as established by the municipality. See also section 13 of the product safety data sheet.

You may need covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil. Don't forget your brushes and rollers.
