Basic synthetic anti-corrosive paint

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Pragoprimer Standard S2000 is a versatile basic paint for metal and absorbent substrates for indoor and outdoor environments, especially under synthetic and air-drying coatings, for painting, e.g., sheet metal structures, machines, metal and wooden furniture, etc. The paint has excellent anti-corrosive properties, very fast drying, and universal applicability.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The substrate for application must be clean, dry, free from grease, rust, and dust, and mechanically cleaned. First of all, the surface must be degreased using a suitable cleaner (e.g. BALTECH P6402 technical gasoline, BALTECH P6401 acetone, or where possible, warm pressurized water containing detergent). To remove any remaining salts, the surface must then be rinsed with clean water. Coarse and well-adhering impurities must be removed manually or mechanically (sanding, scraping). Any rust can also be removed manually or mechanically (metal brushes, grinding discs) or by using rust removers. If chemical rust removers are used, a subsequent rinse with clean water is necessary.
Absorbent substrates must first be treated with a suitable priming agent, which ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and stripped of old non-adhering coatings.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (brush, roller), thinner BALTECH S6001 (spraying)

Theoretical coverage: 18 - 21 m²/l per coat

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Before use, thoroughly mix the contents and dilute if necessary. The paint is applied with a brush, roller, or spray onto the pre-prepared substrate.
Painting / spraying metal:
When applying by spraying, problematic areas (corners, edges, seams, surface defects) are treated first with a brush using a strip coating, and only after the coating is tacky is the entire area sprayed (including already painted problematic areas).
1. 1x paint PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000, drying time 24 hours. The optimal thickness of one layer is 25-30 µm. Drying on metallic objects can be accelerated by using heat up to 80 °C.

3. sanding filled areas with sandpaper No. 180 - 220 wet
4. 1x PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000
5. sanding with sandpaper No. 280
6. 2 to 3 coats of INDUSTROL UNIVERSAL S2013, INDUSTROL PLUS S2071, INDUSTROL PROFI U2129 or matte INDUSTROL UNIMAT S2075

Coating absorbent substrate:
1. 1x treatment with stain S1023 LAZUROL CLASSIC, or S1033 LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE, drying time 24 hours
2. 1x paint PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000, drying time 24 hours
3. 2 to 3 coats of INDUSTROL UNIVERSAL S2013, INDUSTROL PLUS S2071, INDUSTROL PROFI U2129 or matte INDUSTROL UNIMAT S2075
If filling is needed, proceed as in the previous point (painting metal).

You may need covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or protective film, possibly sandpapers. Don't forget brushes and rollers.

• P210: Protect from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flame, and other ignition sources. No smoking.
• P261: Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/aerosols.
• P273: Prevent release to the environment.
• P280: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face shield.
• P304+P340: IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
• P305+P351+P338: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
• P312: If you feel unwell, call the TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION CENTER/doctor.
• P501: Dispose of contents/container as instructed on the product.
