CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood glaze S1023 is intended for protective glazing coatings of soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood glaze penetrates deeply into the wood structure, enhances its natural grain, thereby providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewal of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for interior use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a higher resin content (larch, pine) must be completely freed from resin exudates beforehand, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnating agent that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should first be treated with colorless glaze LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorption of the substrate before further application of paints. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then should the impregnating glaze be applied. In the case of renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, e.g. by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per layer depending on the substrate's absorbency

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The glaze does not need to be diluted, it is already at the application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the glazing varnish. For interior use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, for outdoor coatings it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. The colorless glaze is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly highlight the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For continuous surfaces, exclusively use the product from the same production batch to guarantee the same color tone. The final appearance of the shade is influenced by the type of wood, the condition of its surface, and previous coatings, so it is worth making a test coating before the final application. Any complaints regarding the shade will only be accepted based on a test area.
If you want to achieve a high gloss, you can overcoat the dry layer made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or with the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 glaze. For floors, LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020 can be used.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with glaze must be disposed of safely as they can ignite spontaneously under certain circumstances.

You can also use covering tools, for example, paper adhesive tape or covering foil. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
